UCLA Extension

Medical Insurance

Finding health care in the United States can be expensive and challenging. So UCLA Extension Pre-Master’s Preparation provides medical insurance at rates and terms based on the program in which you are enrolled.

Please note that UCLA Extension students are not eligible to use the UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center on the UCLA campus but must use facilities provided by the plan that covers them.

Injury and Sickness Insurance is included in Pre-Master’s Preparation’s student services fees. This insurance allows you to visit a hospital or clinic if you need medical attention due to an injury or sickness while studying in the Pre-Master’s Preparation. On the first day of your program, the American Language Center will give you an insurance identification card and provide more detailed information on your insurance coverage and approved medical facilities. Permanent residents of the United States will not be eligible for this insurance.

For more information, go to renstudent.com/extension, and select UC Extension-International for the year that you will be enrolled in the program. Brochures are available in a variety of languages.
